Course description - Learning outcomes
Course Description: The use of the statistical package SPSS for the data analysis of quantitative data in Educational Sciences.
Course outline and topics: Introduction to SPSS. Data entry and data base creation. The commands “recode” and “compute”. Data manipulation (split file, select cases). Basic graphs. Contingency tables (crosstabulation), Χ2 test, Fisher test. Pearson and Spearman correlation coefficient. 2 independent samples t-test. Paired samples t-test. One way ANOVA. ANCOVA with interactions. Simple linear regression. Multiple regression. Non parametric tests.
