Course description: Macroeconomic Theory I is an introductory course in macroeconomic analysis and policy. Focusing on closed economies, the course discusses fundamental macroeconomic concepts, such as the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), the inflation rate, the business cycle, etc. In addition, the course studies, inter alia, short-run and long-run fluctuations, the adjustment to short-run and long-run equilibrium and the efficiency of the macroeconomic policy.
