Course Contents:
- The aim of teaching Social Studies in Preschool Education.
- Aims and methods of instruction.
- Curriculum and Social Studies.
- The child as a member ;of social groups.
- Issues in Multicultural Education.
- Teaching History in the early years.
- Teaching Religion in the early years.
- Teaching social, political, economical and ecological issues in the early years.
- Training students in the design of teaching related issues based on holistic interdisciplinary approaches.

Course Objectives/Goals: Students will become able to teach social studies as teachers in Kindergarten, helping children to develop their civic culture.

Assignments: For the examination of the course will apply a combination of work and written examinations. The work consists of designing a weekly teaching program for issue comes from the field of Social Studies based interdisciplinary approach. For the final grade of the course will be taken on the score of written examination with that of work in the following ranges: Level written examination: 0-8, Grade work: 0-2. Example: Grade 5 + written examination Grade 1 Work = Final Grade Lesson 6.
