Course Description: This course is an introduction to the contemporary issues of educational evaluation. It covers a broad range of educational evaluation examples in the field practice and presents all the known types of educational evaluation. Moreover, the taxonomy of the evaluation models is presented and the program evaluation domain is thoroughly investigated. Conclusively, a review concerning the student evaluation and its underlying principals is presented.

Course Outline and topics: The current course includes a presentation of the aspects of evaluation that can be met in any evaluation procedure, an introduction to theories of evaluations, their theoretical framework and background. Also, the module will focus on issues regarding: (a) practical implementation of educational evaluation, (b) types of evaluation, and (c) taxonomies reported. Finally, issues regarding program evaluation trends and implementation in field praxis will be addressed. The topics of the current course are:

(c) Understanding the recent trends of educational evaluation, and
(d) Acquisition knowledge for the effective design and implementation of education evaluation procedures.
